
Doughnuts III
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- 1/2 pound shortening, (half butter, half lard)
- yeast, ,cake
- enough flour, to make mixture stiff
- 1 pound sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 nutmeg
Directions
- When mixture is light, add 1 pound sugar, eggs, nutmeg, and mold into a loaf.
- When again light, roll out and cut and boil, dipping each one in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar as it is taken from the boiling lard.
