Dark Fruit Cake
Ingredients
- 7 eggs
- 1 pound shelled pecans
- 2 cup sugar
- 1/4 pound citron
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 pound raisins
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 pound dates
- 1 tablespoon cloves
- 1 pound figs
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 pound shelled almonds
- 1 quart flour
- 1/2 pound candied cherries
- 1 cup wine or coffee
- 3 pieces candied pineapple
Directions
- Mix the quart of flour in fruit, nuts.
- Cut up fine.
- Bake about 3 hours,.
