Creamed Oysters on Toast

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces toast, cut circular
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cup oysters

Directions

  1. Pick over the oysters, and drain off the liquor.
  2. Melt the butter, add the flour, salt and paprika, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Gradually add the milk, cook until thick and creamy, about three minutes, and add the oysters.
  4. Serve very hot on toast.
  5. Garnish with parsley.
