Creamed Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn, cut from the cob
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk, or cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Cook the corn and water together very slowly for twenty minutes, or until the water is all cooked out.
  2. (Place on an asbestos mat to prevent burning.
  3. ) Add butter, milk, sugar and salt.
  4. Serve hot.
