Cream Toast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pieces of toast

Directions

  1. Melt the butter, add the flour, mix well, add the milk slowly.
  2. Add the salt and boil two minutes.
  3. Dip the toasted bread into the white sauce, and when soft, remove to the serving dish.
  4. Pour the rest of the sauce over the toast and serve hot.
  5. One teaspoon of sugar may be added to the sauce.
