
Bran Butterscotch Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup lard
- 2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup shredded bran
- 3 cup flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
- Cream the lard, add the sugar, well beaten eggs and bran.
- Mix well.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and add to the first mixture.
- Shape into a roll and store in refrigerator.
- When needed, slice thin and bake on cookie sheet in hot oven (425f) for about 12 minutes.
