Baked Bananas

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 lemon

Directions

  1. Cut bananas in quarters, lengthwise, and place in a buttered baking-dish.
  2. Mix sugar and lemon juice, adding 1 tablespoon melted butter if desired; spread this mixture over the fruit and bake in a slow oven till bananas are soft, basting with the juice at least once.
  3. May be served with whipped cream or as a vegetable.
