Apple Tapioca

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoon pearl tapioca
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup sweetened applesauce
  • 1 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Soak the pearl tapioca in the cold water for ten minutes in the upper part of the double boiler.
  2. Add the boiling water, salt and sugar.
  3. Cook in the double boiler until transparent.
  4. Add one cup of apple sauce and the vanilla.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Serve either hot or cold.
