ACEd Up Ham
Ingredients
- 1 fully cooked ham, (boneless or bone-in)
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke, (apple, hickory or pecan)
Directions
- Cut a series of 1/2-inch slashes in the ham in a crosshatch pattern.
- Rub the ham with the oil and sprinkle it with the black pepper.
- Put the ham in a crock pot on medium heat and cook to an internal temperature of 150 degree fahrenheit.
- Should take around 3-4 hours, depending on your crock pot.
- Mix the bbq sauce and the brown sugar.
- Glaze the ham with the mix.
- Continue cooking the ham to an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
- Remove from the crock pot, let rest for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Slice & serve.
