Whole-Wheat Biscuits (2)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 -4 tablespoon fat
  • 1 cup sifted white flour
  • 3/4 cup water, or milk if available
  • 3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. Cut in the fat and add liquid to make a soft dough.
  3. Place the dough on a lightly floured hoard, and pat out or roll until one-half or three-fourths of an inch thick; or knead gently, and roll to the desired thickness.
  4. Cut into biscuits.
  5. Bake on a pan in a hot oven for about 15 minutes.
