Sour Cream Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour
  • 3 tablespoon fat
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup sour milk

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Cut in the fat with a knife.
  3. Add the soda to the milk, and when the effervescing ceases, add slowly to the dry ingredients, all the milk may not be needed.
  4. When a soft dough is formed, toss onto a floured board.
  5. Pat into shape, cut with a biscuit cutter, and place side by side on a tin pan or baking sheet.
  6. Bake fifteen minutes in a moderately hot oven.
