Kraut Runza - Bread Dough

Ingredients

  • 5 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 yeast cakes
  • 3 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup milk, scalded and cooled
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup shortening, melted and cooled

Directions

  1. Will make a medium stiff dough.
  2. Let rise at least an hour in a warm place.
  3. Punch down, grease top and sides with a little shortening.
  4. Cover and let rise again until double in bulk.
  5. Make runza filling.
