Ground Pork Croquettes
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped cooked pork
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/3 cup crumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon egg
- 1 tablespoon pimento, cut fine
- 1 tablespoon water
Directions
- Melt the butter, add the flour, paprika, celery salt, onion salt, salt and pimento.
- Gradually add the milk and cook thoroughly for one minute.
- Add the meat and allow the mixture to cool.
- When cool, shape into the desired shape, preferably conical.
- Rollin the crumbs, dip in the egg and water mixed, then dip in the crumbs and allow to stand for fifteen minutes or more.
- Fry in deep fat.
