Custard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

Directions

  1. Beat egg yolks until light, in the upper part of a double boiler.
  2. Add sugar, flour and salt.
  3. Mix well and slowly add the milk.
  4. Cook over the lower part of the boiler until thick enough to coat a silver spoon.
  5. Beat well, add the extract, and cool.
