Cream Raspberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • red raspberries
  • granulated sugar
  • butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • vanilla
  • 3 egg whites
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. After lining a pie plate with pie crust, fill it with red raspberries.
  2. Cover it with granulated sugar and with an upper crust, but rub the edges of both upper and lower crusts with butter, so they will not stick together.
  3. Then when pie is baked make a cream filling with: milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, cornstarch, vanilla.
  4. Cook this and when cool, add the whites of three eggs stiffly beaten.
  5. Lift the sift with powdered sugar.
  6. Upper crust of the pie and pour in this cream filling.
  7. Replace the crust and sift with powdered sugar.
