Cheese Custard

Ingredients

  • bread
  • butter
  • 2 cup cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Directions

  1. Cut bread 1 inch thick, and butter.
  2. Cut in cubes.
  3. Alternate in layers in a buttered baking dish, with the grated cheese.
  4. Mix beaten egg, milk, salt and paprika and pour over bread and bake until firm.
