
Boiled Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 7 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 3/4 pound granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoon water, boil with sugar until clear
- 1/2 pound sifted flour
Directions
- Pour sugar water slowly over the beaten whites and yelks, stirring while pouring.
- When cool, add sifted flour (stir, not beat).
- Flavor to taste.
- Bake in a long pan twenty-five or thirty minutes in a very slow oven.
