Baking-powder Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoon lard
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt, and cut in the fat with a knife.
  2. Slowly add the milk, more or less may be required, as it depends on the flour.
  3. Pat into shape three-fourths of an inch thick.
  4. Cut with a cutter, place side by side on a tin pan.
  5. Bake in a hot oven twelve to fifteen minutes.
