Anchovy Twists
Ingredients
- scraps of flaky or shortcrust pastry
- anchovy, fillets
- lemon juice
- beaten egg
Directions
- Roll the pastry 1/8 inch thick and cut it into strips.
- Lay a strip of anchovy on top of each and sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Twist the two together, brush with beaten egg and bake in hot oven for about 8 minutes.
