The Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 6 tablespoon shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Directions

  1. Sift dry ingredients together—rub in shortening very lightly with fingertips; add water slowly, just enough to make stiff dough; roll out very thin on floured board and line pan, being very careful to make pastry come well over edge of pan.
