Pork and Kraut (Speck un Kraut)

Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 pound fresh pork
  • water
  • 1 quart sauerkraut
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  1. Put pork in large stew pan and cover with cold water, cook slowly for 1 hour.
  2. Add the saierkraut making sure there is enough liquid in the pan to cover.
  3. Cook slowly for another hour.
  4. Season to taste.
  5. Serve with mashed or boiled potatoes.
