Hard Sauce II

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon boiling water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Cream the butter, add the water and slowly add the sugar.
  2. Continue mixing until very creamy.
  3. Add the lemon and vanilla extract.
  4. Form into a cube and place in the ice box.
  5. Allow to stand half an hour, then cut into slices and serve on top of the brown betty.
