Whole Wheat Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup scalded fortified milk
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon iodized vegetable salt
  • 1/2 cup water, or leftover vegetable water
  • 1 cake yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cup whole wheat flour

Directions

  1. Mix milk, butter, honey, and vegetable, cool this mixture to lukewarm temperature by adding water (or leftover vegetable water).
  2. Add yeast, blend in egg, and finally add whole wheat flour and 2 tablespoons wheat germ.
  3. Let rise in warm place until the bulk is doubled.
  4. Form in rolls and place in buttered muffin pan.
  5. Bake at 400f for just 20 minutes.
