Baked Beetroot

Ingredients

  • 1 large beet
  • a little dripping
  • pepper
  • salt
  • stock

Directions

  1. Boil a large beet about 2 hours, be careful not to pierce it.
  2. When cold mash it very smooth, add a little dripping, pepper, salt and stock.
  3. Place in a greased basin and bake for 1 hour.
