American Chinese Chop Suey

Ingredients

  • 1 -1/2 pound pork, butt
  • 1/2 box of frozen broccoli
  • 4 medium carrots
  • 5 celery, stems
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 box French cut string beans, or other fresh vegetables
  • 1 can mushroom, sauce
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • garlic, part of small bulb

Directions

  1. Season pan by browning in hot fat, sliced garlic.
  2. Remove garlic from pan.
  3. Brown the pork, out in small pieces.
  4. Add french cut carrots and string beans.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add cut up celery and onions.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Cover end simmer for about 20 minutes or until the vegetables are nearly cooked.
  9. Uncover, and add the mushroom sauce and soy sauce.
  10. Cook until done.
