American Chinese Chop Suey
Ingredients
- 1 -1/2 pound pork, butt
- 1/2 box of frozen broccoli
- 4 medium carrots
- 5 celery, stems
- 1 large onion
- 1 box French cut string beans, or other fresh vegetables
- 1 can mushroom, sauce
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- garlic, part of small bulb
Directions
- Season pan by browning in hot fat, sliced garlic.
- Remove garlic from pan.
- Brown the pork, out in small pieces.
- Add french cut carrots and string beans.
- Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add cut up celery and onions.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover end simmer for about 20 minutes or until the vegetables are nearly cooked.
- Uncover, and add the mushroom sauce and soy sauce.
- Cook until done.
