Rice Soup

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce Patna rice
  • 1 quart stock
  • salt
  • cayenne pepper
  • pounded mace, to taste

Directions

  1. Throw the rice into boiling water and let it remain five minutes, then pour it into a sieve and allow it to drain well.
  2. Now add it to the stock boiling and stew till quite tender, season to taste and serve quickly.
