Quick Carrot and Turnip Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon onion
  • 2 tablespoon fat
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 cup grated, ground or finely chopped carrots, or turnips
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  1. Cook onion in fat for a few minutes.
  2. Stir in flour.
  3. Add milk and carrots or turnips.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Stir well and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
