Listy (Crispies)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix together with a fork, adding enough flour to make a stiff dough.
  2. Pour onto a floured board and knead for about 7 to 10 minutes.
  3. Roll out 1/2 of the dough at a time until very thin.
  4. Cut rolled dough into squares.
  5. Cut a slit in the center of each square.
  6. Fry in hot shortening until they are a light brown.
  7. They fry very quickly.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
