Cream Dressing

Ingredients

Directions

  1. This dressing may be used for asparagus, or toast, or dried beef.
  2. Put milk in a farina kettle.
  3. Beat yolk of 1 egg.
  4. Dissolve 1 teaspoonful cornstarch in a little milk, and mix with the yolk.
  5. When milk comes to a boil, stir in the mixture ; then add a lump of butter, and salt and pepper to taste.
