Cooked Salad Dressing

Yield: 1 1/2 cups



  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in top of double boiler; stir in egg yolks, melted butter or margarine, and milk: blend well.
  2. Add vinegar very slowly.
  3. Cook and stir over hot water until mixture coats spoon.
  4. Cool, then chill.
  5. (If overcooked, this dressing will curdle).
