  1. Sift flour once then measure, add baking powder, and salt, and sift together again.
  2. Cream butter thoroughly, add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the well beaten yolks of eggs and mix well.
  4. Add the flour alternately with the milk, a little at a time.
  5. Beat again after each addition until smooth.
  6. Add the flavoring.
  7. Pour into two buttered, aluminum layer forms with removable bottoms.
