The King of Steaks

Yield: 3-4 servings

Directions

  1. Have porterhouse steak cut one to two inches thick.
  2. Wipe with a damp cloth.
  3. Preheat the broiler.
  4. Place steak on center of broiler rack allowing three inches between the surface of the meat and the source of heat.
  5. When steak is nicely browned on one side, it will be about half done; season, turn, and brown on the other side.
  6. Only one turning is necessary.
  7. For a two-inch steak allow 35 to 40 minutes to be medium done.
