Nut Bread

Yield: 24 sandwiches

Directions

  1. Sift together all the dry ingredients, add the nut meats and fruit.
  2. Add the milk.
  3. Stir well, and pour into two well- buttered loaf pans.
  4. Allow to stand and rise for twenty minutes.
  5. Bake three-fourths of an hour in a moderate oven.
  6. Use bread twenty-four hours old for the sandwiches.
  7. “C” sugar is light brown sugar and gives food a delicious flavor.
