Cheese Straws

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix together flour, cheese, salt, cayenne and the yolk of one egg, then add enough water to make paste sufficiently consistent to roll.
  2. P]ace it on a board and roll to 1/4 inch thickness.
  3. Cut it into narrow strips and roll so each piece will be the size and length of a lead pencil.
  4. Place them in a baking tin and press each end on the pan.
  5. Bake to a light brown in a moderate oven.
  6. These straws are very nice with salad and will keep for several days.
  7. It is well to heat them before serving.
